Den Bla' Hund or Blue Dog Cafe - Jens 7/11/18

On Wednesday July 11th, 2018 we planned to meet Jens Fischer, my 2nd cousin, in Fredricksborg Denmark. He chose a little cafe called Den Bla' Hund, or Blue Dog Cafe. Was close to where he was and easy for us to reach on the metro train. We had stayed inside the hotel all day to rest up, and headed out at 6.
Just a beautiful building on the way to meet Jens

The amount of bicycles everywhere just astounds me. It is no wonder they look like they look, and we look like we look. You see fast food restaurants at every corner and cars cars cars!!

Just taking in the architectural beauties surrounding me as I follow behind Mike and Eva

I just liked this funny looking truck

Saw this old sewing machine and iron right before seeing Jens on the street outside the cafe

This is my 2nd cousin, Jens Fischer. He said to say hello to everyone. Asked about Christina. I know he stayed with us in WA when she was a baby, but he also said he remembered her from OR when he was there with Tarah. He said to say hi to the others, and send lots of Danish regards.

Just waiting for food and I am clicking away while we do

Eva chose a leg of lamb

I chose a club sandwich

Mike and Jens both chose hamburgers, although Jens ate his with a fork and knife. I asked if I should cut my sandwich up to, to fit in, but he said no, eat it how you would like

I am sure I was annoying this professional photographer with my haphazard manner of click, click, clicking

We stepped across the street to the outside portion of the cafe, to visit, when it cooled down

I took this pic...of basically nothing, Jens laughed and asked what WAS I taking a picture of??? LOL I had to say...nothing and everything!!

Just visiting over water, soft drinks, and coffee

I stepped away to get another water and of course, could not resist yet another shot

Time to say goodbye :(

I watched as he rode away, wishing we had more time! Must visit again soon!!

Flight to Frankfurt Germany - Day 1

So I have 267 pics from the airport and airplane! Needless to say, I will delete a couple before sending them haha. Possibly about 250!! Must have been excited or something!!Speaks for itself!

The airline we flew

Our airbus, double decker seats over 500!

This is the screen in front of my seat. Tons of movies, TV shows, radio, etc. and also a map showing where we are going, and flight cameras that I thought were pretty cool.

This is the view of us heading out to the runway

Us lifting off

Our first meal. Was pretty good.

Showing how many miles and time left to destination. You could see the map or stats anytime you wanted. Was good to keep track. And also bad I guess, as you saw exactly how long you had left to watch it while most everyone around you slept!!

I thought when they showed it on the globe, and you could see it from that perspective that it was awesome.

Just another update

Camera view from tail of plane

Camera view from bottom of plane

This is the view the pilot saw...you have to have confidence in the equipment at this point!!

Starting to see our destination now, only 22 minutes remaining on this first leg of the trip

It was pretty cool to watch the plane land.

Because Eva had asked for assistance we got to experience a bit more of the crew close up. They loaded us on a bus type deal. Looked a little boxier but drove like a bus.

driving to the plane

they pulled right up to the plane, lifted the bus up to the level of the back door, and knocked. It was crazy!!

 They opened the door

and on we went...fun stuff. I would not have had this experience if not for Eva asking for assistance, so that part was fun. Got ushered to places no one else went. Germany workers were the nicest we encountered I think. All were nice.
