Galvaston Texas - Boat Ride/Dolphin watching

There have been certain events in my life that I could repeat over and over, special days or events when family and circumstances have just been perfect and I would love to relive those. There are also certain events that I never wish to repeat, and some that I have a choice about I thought I never would. However, I enjoyed my cruise so much (you know, the one I swore I would never ever in a million centuries go on?? yep, that one) and disliked the whale watching boat experience so much ( you know, the one that I miss all but the first couple of minutes of?? yep, that one) However, this is one that I felt deserved another go of it. I put on a motion sickness patch early enough that there would be zero doubt it would be in full swing by boat ride time, and I stepped on. The sea was rough, we were warned, we were told to aim overboard if we felt sick (awe, memories) and that the day was such that we would get wet. True to the captain's word, I was wet, I had the perfect seat. He looked back and apologized, giggled, (and I only know because I could see his smile before he ducked his head or put his hand over his mouth and shook!) and then told the guy doing the talking, "oh my gosh, she is getting so wet, and I can't do anything about it!! I kept giving him the thumbs up and the a-ok sign, but he was so apologetic, they were both very nice. But honestly the ride was a blast! I had so much fun. It was a beautiful day, perfect temp for me - 64 - and just amazing birds, pelicans - and I saw a pelican snag a fish and saw it in his pouch/throat before it went down (wish I had my camera ready for that shot - National Geographic here we come!) And we saw about 15 - 20 dolphins. I did stop taking pics because I just wanted to enjoy it, but I got a couple I think. I will have to check them out when they download. We also went to the....I will write that in a separate blog, more to come!!  I apparently have 650 pics on my phone, so this may take a while!

P.S. Please remember my awesome picture/video taking mad skills when you watch/look at the following. At least if you watch the video, you will not see any dolphins as I apparently missed them all but you can see how choppy/windy it was. The guy says in one, "you didn't know you were going to get a bull and a boat ride did ya?" They were fun, the day was excellent!!
